Hauraki District Council is currently reviewing our Gambling Policy (Class 4 and TAB venues). We are legislatively required to review the policy every three years.

As part of the review, we complete an assessment of the social impact gambling has in the district. We are looking for up to date information on the social impacts of gambling in the Hauraki District to inform the assessment. Please fill out the surveys below, or send us an email, to provide your comments.


We will be holding a hui to discuss gambling specific to the Hauraki District, and information provided at this hui will also help to inform the social impact assessment. Please indicate via email if you plan to attend the hui - letstalk@hauraki-dc.govt.nz

This assessment will inform Council's decision-making during the review process.

The hui is as follows:

9:30am-12pm

Council Chambers, Hauraki District Council, 1 William Street Paeroa


When we have developed a draft policy we will seek feedback from the public – this will occur throughout the month of October 2024.

    If you are a group working in or around the gambling industry, please fill out this survey. Your answers will feed into the social impact assessment of gambling in the Hauraki District, which will be provided to Council to inform their decision-making throughout the policy review.
