A 500m stretch of road on Hauraki Road in Tūrua has undergone a much-needed pavement rehabilitation.
This work was undertaken from February 2025. Final works have now been completed, and checks are being carried out to fix any defects.
Kea Crossing and Tactile Installation
The new Kea Crossing is now installed. This will provide a safer crossing point for tamariki and other pedestrians. The tactile paving will be installed once the concrete has fully cured.
What’s Next: Second Coat Chipseal
As part of our standard process, a second coat of chipseal will be applied during the next construction season. This provides greater waterproofing of the pavement and a consistent finish.
Thank You
A heartfelt thank you to the Tūrua community for your patience and understanding throughout this project. We know it’s been disruptive at times, and we truly appreciate your support as we bring the work to a close.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
