This hui was to discuss the idea of placemaking and how we can work toegther.

The first phase of working together is about people gathering, telling stories about place and identity, having fun, and getting excited about the process to come. We want to know what the challenges and opportunities are you face? What are your visions and goals for your town? What do you want to see more of in your public spaces? 

This series will contain a range of engagement methods over the course of a month. 

The focus is on forming and confirming the vision and goals for each town. Sessions will take place for each township. Is what we learnt from our first engagement series where you want to see your community in 10 years? The co-design conversation will centre around a higher-level vision and goals, but also create space for specific projects to be discussed. This series will contain a range of engagement methods over the course of a month.

During this time we will discuss what projects will be most suitable to achieve the vision and goals confirmed in the previous project stage. The focus will be projects to be delivered in the next three years although more future opportunities will also be discussed, as will how we measure success. There will be hui with key stakeholders to deep dive into specific projects. What are the tools we will need to get going? What are the dependencies? 

Finalise separate placemaking plans for each township and adoption by the Council.
