Last year, we successfully completed the culvert upgrade for Pukekauri Road, which required us to close the road to through traffic for two months.

This year we are back for another rehabilitation project to widen and resurface a 1.1km section between Waitawheta Road and Substation Lane, making it safer for motorists.

The road will be down to single lane during the road construction and traffic management will be in place to keep everyone safe. Road users will need to expect significant delays so please avoid the area if possible.

As part of an effort to widen the road, we’ll also need to relocate some of the fences within the road reserve. If work affects your property, our team will contact you before we start.

Thank you again for your understanding and we do apologise for this inconvenience while we get this important work done – we will complete this project with as little inconvenience as possible but there will be unavoidable disruption.

We will be posting regular updates throughout the Pukekauri Road Pavement Rehabilitation right here. You can also keep up with the latest news throughout the Hauraki District by signing up for our newsletters.
