Hauraki District Council staff are progressing with a district wide water meter renewals programme.
We have over 8,800 meters around the district which record the water consumption on properties which are connected to mains water supply.
Many of the water meters in our district have been in service for more than 10 years and are due for replacement.
Our aim is to replace 10% of water meters in our district annually to keep up with our replacement programme.
We will be posting updates when we move onto the next replacement zone, and we will be letting you know though Antenno when we will be in your area.
When your meter is replaced, water will be shut off for approx. 15-30 minutes and we recommend you run a tap for a few minutes to clear the line of any discolouration or air bubbles.
