Waitāwheta Road Upgrade
16.12.25 - Road now open
Thank-you for your patience while the Waitāwheta Road upgrade was completed.
The road is now mostly finished and open to traffic in both directions.
The upgraded road may be smoother, wider and safer, but please drive with extra care on the new chipseal as it needs time to settle.
Our contractor will continue to monitor the road over the next few weeks, especially during the current hot weather.

The drainage and kerb work is almost finished, and the next step will be building the new road surface.
